Visitors may ride the motorized tram, a service that is included in the admission price. As the tram tours The Garden, the driver describes specific areas of interest and a little bit about our history . The tram ride takes about 25 minutes and makes its circuit every thirty minutes, leaving the stop near the visitor center on the hour and the half-hour. Guests have the option to get on or off at any of the several stops throughout The Garden and may also ride the tram on its circuit more than one time. We have volunteer docents who, through pre-arrangement, may be available to provide a walking tour for some or all of the members of your group. We provide a Garden Guide which includes a detailed map of our specialty gardens and other items of interest.

In our visitor center, you will find the garden Café, serving those of our guests who would like to have lunch on their visit to The Garden, or who would like to purchase of snacks and drinks. Lunches can be ordered over the counter and paid for individually, or you, the tour operator, can order box lunches in advance and make one payment for the entire group. A menu for our box lunch program is available from our group tour coordinator and also appears in this section of our website. You are welcome to bring your own picnic and make use of one of our outdoor picnic areas. We have limited seating in our Café if weather does not permit dining outside. Please note that except for special events, we are a non-alcohol and non-smoking site throughout the garden.
