Junior Gardener's Club Membership
This membership level is perfect for children ages 10 and under to be a member of The Oregon Garden. Kids will have a hands-on opportunity to learn about gardening, the outdoors, health and fitness, arts and crafts, community awareness and more. Junior Gardener’s Club members receive the following annual benefits:
- A full year of
free Garden admission for child member one adult guest
- 10% discount at The Garden gift shop and Cafe*
- Admission to regular Junior Gardener's Club activities (11 per year)
- Official Junior Gardener's Club membership card
Junior Gardener's Club members will get to have fun while learning about the growing cycle, bees, bugs, flowers, vegetables, and water. Club activities get kids moving! Yoga, hula hoops, garden walks, pumpkin planting, and harvesting help keep kids active and healthy. Photography, drawing, poetry, and reading keep kid's artistic abilities growing as well.

Activities
All Junior Gardener Club activities begin at 10 a.m. in the Children's Garden, located inside The Oregon Garden. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities designed for children ages 5 – 10.

July 10, 2010 - Water Helps Us Grow
- Clean water is essential for kids and gardens! Join us for cool experiments and fun learning about the importance of clean water.

August 14, 2010 - The Buzz About Gardens
- Children will be all a-buzz learning about the great things bees do for gardens and people, including pollinating, producing honey and wax.

September 11, 2010 - Say Cheese! Photography and Art in the Garden
- Professional photographers and artists will help children see art in the most amazing garden places. Kids will have the opportunity to take photos and create art in different mediums.

October 9, 2010 - Pumpkin Harvest
- Growing cycle continues with the harvest of the pumpkins planted in the spring. Pumpkin decorating and other activities will celebrate the end of the growing season.

November 13, 2010 - The Giving Tree
- This month's activities are all about being thankful and giving to others. A reading of Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree will lead into a session where kids can learn to create their own poems. Children are encouraged to bring a food item to donate to the Silverton Area Community Aid.

December 11, 2010 - All Aboard! The Polar Express
- Warm up with some hot chocolate as the reading of the popular book is followed by a screening of the film. Note: This program will last approximately 3 hours.
Junior Gardener’s Club members receive free admission to Club activities
Drop-in rates for Junior Gardener Club activities:
- $15 – child (ages 7 and under) and one adult (includes Garden admission)
- $23 – child (ages 8 – 10) and one adult (includes Garden admission
Garden members receive free admission to Junior Gardener Club activities.
