SUMMARY:Garden University: Wonder Walk Impressions
DESCRIPTION:Participants will begin with a guided Wonder Walk through the garden. Each person will receive a unique Wonder Card with a reflective theme to guide what they notice throughout the walk. Rather than searching for specific objects\, they’ll be encouraged to observe the garden through a different lens as they notice colors\, textures\, patterns\, light and the details that naturally draw their attention. \nAfter the walk\, we’ll gather to create an original acrylic painting inspired by what stood out to each participant. \nThis isn’t a traditional painting class. It’s a Creative Wellness Experience centered on observation\, curiosity\, creativity and personal expression. Every painting will be unique because every participant experiences the garden differently. \nNo artistic experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. \nTickets can be purchased HERE \n— \nHi\, I’m Desiree\, founder of Root & Bloom. \nLife gets busy. We spend so much time taking care of responsibilities\, checking off to-do lists and moving from one thing to the next that it’s easy to forget to make time for ourselves. I wanted to create a reason to slow down. \nRoot & Bloom’s Creative Wellness Workshops bring people together to paint\, create\, garden\, explore nature and enjoy hands-on experiences that spark creativity\, conversation and connection. DESCRIPTION:Decorate a native bee house and start your own mason bee colony! \nAs requested\, Heather Andrews is returning back to The Oregon Garden to help you along your bee journey! Join us for a fun-filled family friendly workshop on Saturday March 28th from 11am-1pm at the Oregon Gardens where we’ll learn all about native bees. These insects play essential roles in maintaining a balanced ecosystem\, and are important for pollinating all kinds of plants. But did you know that we have over 4\,000 native bees right here in North America\, and that many species nest in the ground or plant stems? \nWe’ll start out the class with a lesson on the different types of native bees here in the Willamette Valley\, and the various kinds of habitat they need. Then we will decorate mason bee houses.
