DESCRIPTION:We invite you to a Celebration of Life in honor of Doug Wilson\, hosted at the Oregon Garden on\nSunday\, May 18th \, 2025.  \nDoug Wilson\, who passed away unexpectedly on September 30\, 2024\, made a lasting impact on the gardening community\, and this gathering will honor his contributions and friendship. Guests are welcome to arrive at their leisure and enjoy a reflective stroll through the Conifer Garden. Light appetizers and beverages will be served in the J. Frank Schmidt Jr. Pavilion. A memorial ceremony will follow at the Pavilion\, bringing together friends\, family\, and colleagues to share memories and pay tribute to Doug’s\nlegacy. SUMMARY:Native Plant Garden Tour and Bird House & Feeder Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Marion County Water and Soil Conservation is coming to give your a tour through our Native Garden Demonstration Garden\, and then educate you on how to care for bird hours and bird nests! \nRoseanne Yoder\, horticulturist at the Oregon Garden\, will discuss the work being done in the native plant demonstration garden. Free take-home resources on native plants will be provided. \nRay Temple will cover the importance of cleaning bird nesting boxes annually\, the role of proper siting for easier maintenance\, and the tools and precautions for the job. Stephanie Hazen\, veterinarian\, will explain the need for sanitation of bird feeders\, how to select the right feeders\, and steps to reduce the risk of disease and parasites. \nWe will divide the class into two groups and everyone will have the opportunity to rotate through both learning stations. We will raffle off the nesting boxes and bird feeders at the end of the workshop. Must be present to win. \nPlan to arrive by 12:45. \n__ \nThis is a free event\, but registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the summer in style with The Oregon Garden’s Summer Concert Series! This music series takes place once a month from June through August\, and features a lineup of beloved local musicians as well as food and drinks. Even better\, your ticket includes after hours admission to The Oregon Garden\, a very special treat this time of year.\n \nJune 12th • Tuesday String Band\n \nTuesday String Band is a bluegrass trio who love entertaining crowds with fast pickin’\, humorous onstage banter\, and string band versions of music from a wide variety of styles. These boys are on a special mission to keep the great string band tradition alive and relevant to the younger generations right here in the beautiful Willamette Valley!\n \nDoors at 5:30pm. Music from 6PM to 8PM.\nADMISSION\n13 and over: $10\n12 and under: Free\nGarden Members: $5*\n \n*please be prepared to show active membership card.\n \n\nOur Summer Concert Series is held outdoors on our Garden Green lawn. Come prepared for sunny weather as shade is limited! In the event of inclement weather\, we will move indoors.\n\nLimited sand chairs will be available to rent for $3 each. Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs. \nOutside food and drinks are allowed\, with the exception of alcoholic beverages. \nWell-behaved pets on leashes are welcome. \nParking is free.

Tsipora Berman will; guide you through a multi-sensory\, transformative\, interdisciplinary yoga experience connecting Eco-Psychology\, Physics\, Neuroscience\, Biology\, Ecology\, and the Arts\, using a variety of mind/body practices.
