DESCRIPTION:Ceramic artist Heather Skinner returns to the Garden to guide you through turning clay into beautiful ornaments for the Holidays. Use real plant material to cast into clay! All materials will be provided – just bring yourself! \nThis event is perfect for both beginners and advanced ceramic enthusiasts. Whether you’re someone looking to try something new or an experienced artist seeking to refine your skills and meet fellow artists\, this workshop is designed to cater to everyone’s needs. SUMMARY:Garden University: Insect Coloration Workshop
DESCRIPTION:‘Tis the season to get crafty!  Join us at the Oregon Gardens for a fun and informative class. We’ll start off the event learning about different types of coloration in insects\, and the rolls it serves these critters.  We will then make pendants out of real beetle wings and handmade glass beads. And since we are getting into the holidays\, we will also decorate holiday cards. \n__ \nHeather Andrews is a research entomologist at Oregon State University.  She works at a university extension office in Aurora where she studies growing practices in orchard crops that minimize their negative impact on the environment while maximizing yield.  In her free time Heather makes jewelry\, draws and also plays the harp. \n__ \nThe purchase of a ticket includes Garden admission!
