Seeking Plants!

The Oregon Garden is the realization of a long-held dream of the Oregon Association of Nurseries – that is, to bring to life a display garden where visitors would be dazzled by the horticultural bounty that is produced and grown in the Pacific Northwest. The Garden exists to promote our state’s horticultural excellence, and we rely on our partnership with local growers, distributors and other vendors to procure the best plant material our state has to offer.

All donations are 100% tax-deductible. We’d love to discuss how we can work together to advance the appreciate for gardening in our community. If you have questions or are considering a donation, please contact:

F/W 2024 Priorities

Pollinator Plants

The preservation of pollinators is forefront in the minds of home gardeners lately, and The Oregon Garden is invested in helping to educate the public about the importance of their conservation. The addition of both native and non-native pollinator-friendly plants not only demonstrates how home gardeners can utilize these varieties themselves, but serves a functional purpose to increase the on site biodiversity of the Garden itself.

Late Summer Interest

We are looking to expand our display of mid- to late-summer bloomers and show our visitors how they can prolong their gardens into the autumn! Priority plants include sedum, helenium, anemone, cosmos and lagerstroemia.

Native Plants

As the public’s interest in landscaping with native plants grows, the Garden desires to keep pace by showcasing practical, real world examples of gardening with natives, whether that be in an exclusively native habitat garden or interplanted with other ornamentals.

Miniature Varieties

We are seeking miniature varieties suitable for use in our model train railroad and miniature gardens, both located in our Children’s Garden and slated for renovation. Ideal plants include those that are naturally slow-growing and remain small, including varieties of conifer used for bonsai, miniature hosta and low-growing ground covers.
