Garden University: Friction Fire Workshop

Michele Ballantyne is returning to the garden to you through creating, carving, and burning a fire by friction for yourself!
In this workshop Michele will demonstrate making fire with friction using a bow drill kit. You will then be guided through carving a bow drill kit for yourself and will learn the best form and techniques. All materials and tools will be supplied for your bow drill kits. You will take your bow drill home with you to practice. There will be the opportunity to purchase a carving knife, as well. Knives, cedar planks, and bows will be provided. Plus the opportunity to create a fire for yourself!
