Garden University: Natural Dyes Workshop

April 12 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Our world is full of all kinds of natural materials that can used as dyes, including some insects!  Learn about several of these materials that can be found in the forest and at the store, and also how to prepare them to make your very own fabric dyes!

After our lesson we will get to dye bandanas with a vibrant magenta dye made from cochineal scale, which has a very fascinating and ancient history behind its use.
