Home School Day

Each September, Oregon Forest Resources Institute invites home school students ages 5 to 12 to join us for a fun-filled day of outdoor learning at The Oregon Garden. Experience the beauty of the garden in late summer bloom while learning about the natural world. Get inspired through fun science and art activities! We offer hands-on, self-paced learning stations throughout the garden on topics including:
- Wetland habitats
- The forest as habitat
- Fire prevention
- Fun with trees
- Living necklaces
- The world of insects
- Plant adaptations
- Dairy fun
- Storm water
- Birds
- …and more!
Admission
Homeschool materials are included free with general Garden admission, which can be purchased at our Visitor Center. No pre-registration required.
- Adults: $14
- Seniors: $12
- Students (5-17): $10
- Children (5-11): $7
- Children 4 & under: Free
- Members: Free
