Garden University: Haiku Workshop

May 5 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Haiku poetry workshop in Silverton Oregon Garden

Learn how to write haikus with Oregon Master Naturalist Natalie DaSilva using the blooming spring garden as your inspiration! Haiku is a traditional, short form of Japanese poetry, through which the poet conveys their experience of nature via a simple written formula. Using this simple formula, anyone can write haiku. This workshop introduces you to classical haiku poetry, and guides you in writing your own haiku poems while spending time in nature. You will have the opportunity to share what you’ve written with the group.
